Happy Wednesday!  Everyone looking forward to the weekend to get some crafty time or some outside time in?  ;)

Today's card I know I needed to make summer.  It is definitely getting warm here and my kids can't wait for school to get out and go swimming.  One of the best summer carts I think is Life's a Beach.  Looking through the booklet I wanted to use a cut I never used before and thought these fish were too cute, especially once I put a Peachy Keen eye on them.  ;)

Well I decided go to with my new favorite cartridge...again!  Doodlecharms.  All of a sudden I can't seem to stay away from this cartridge.  I saw this flower in the booklet and new the middle would just be perfect for a little Peachy Keen Face.  Isn't she just a cutie?  ;)

Exploring Cricut - Here comes Summer

Happy Monday!  It is time for another challenge at Exploring Cricut, Here Come Summer.  Since Summer is right around the corner, it is time to get us all in the mood for that special time of year.

Of course I realized after I made my card that we were supposed to use two cricut cuts.  OOPS!  Sorry Diane!  ;)

I went with my new favorite cartridge, Doodlecharms.  I seem to keep coming back to this cartridge lately.  It seems to just go perfect with all the ideas I have in mind.  I will try and use another cartridge next time.  I think I have another cart or two in my collection.  HA HA!

Exploring Cricut - Mother's Day Blog Hop

Happy Monday and Welcome to the Exploring Cricut's Mother's Day Blog Hop.  We are all showcasing projects for our mother's!

I decided to go with this just adorable little bear from CAC2.  Now of course I wanted to use a Happy Mother's Day stamp and I had just bought some.  Do you think I could find them?  Of course not!  LOL!  So instead I went with a more general sentiment, but I am still thinking of my mother so I think it works. :)

Exploring Cricut - Daily Post

Happy Wednesday.  Just a few more days and we can have another weekend.  Anyone ready for another one?  I am!  ;)

Today's card was done for a 7 year old boy.  It was quite hard not to go all crazy, as it usually is when I do these birthday cards my kids go to.  First of all, they just want whats inside and don't care about the outside.  LOL!  But I guess you can't blame them.  I know we did it all as kids too.

So this card is pretty simple, but still cute.  ;)  Hope you enjoy it.

Welcome to a new challenge at Exploring Cricut. Our challenge is called "April Showers Bring May Flowers". You are to create a card, layout, or papercraft using at least one of any kind of flower.

I went with a cart I have not used in forever, Walk in my garden.  I just spend the weekend with a good friend of mine and I wanted to send her a card to say thank you for taking in my crazy brood.    It is a very simple card, but that seems to what I am doing lately.  But I really liked the contrast of the black and white and color.

Exploring Cricut - Daily Post

Happy Wednesday.  Hope geveryone is having a good day!  Another Wednesday and another daily post for Exploring Cricut.

Have you ever had a card you were really happy with and you were going to take a picture of it and put it on your blog and you go to look up the picture and realize you forgot to take the picture?  UGH!  One of my peeps always says to make two of a card you make so you have a spare, so I just made the card again.  ;)
The original card was for my daughter's student teacher who's was leaving her classroom, so this card will just go in my stash for that special someone.  ;)

I wanted to go with a  cute little bird since all the birds are finally starting to come back.  Soon our flowers will be here too, but for now she can use a little paper one.  I even put her on a little action wobble!  She just made me happy and I plan on sending this to my mom for all she has done for me lately!

Exploring Cricut - Daily Post

Happy Wednesday!

Finally, I have been trying all morning to get my post up and Blogger has been giving me a hard time.

Today's card is a shaped card from Happily Ever After.  One of those carts I said I am never using again after trying to put together one of the princesses!  ;)  But my daughter had a birthday party to go to.  Her favorite princess is Cinderella.  I made her a banner, which I will post tomorrow.  So figured I would make her a glass slipper card to go along with her banner.  I know it is a pretty simple card, but there is lots of stickles around the outside and the 5 year old who got this just loved it.  It was nice to use a cart that I thought I was NEVER going to use again.  LOL!

Paper:  Recollections and Coredinations
Stickles
Nice and simple!  ;)

Exploring Cricut - Happy Easter

Happy Monday and it is time for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut.   This week our challenge is called "Happy Easter". You are to create a card, layout, or papercraft celebrating Easter.

I will admit mine is not exactly Easter.  I just needed something for spring.  I figured this would work for Easter and go right into spring, if it ever arrives.  Plus I was happy with the way this came out and wanted to leave it out for more than just a week!  ;)  I just received the faces on the flowers they just make me happy!

Happy St. Patrick's Day Two

Here is another treat that I found on Friday, so of course I had to quick make them.  I found them here.  Are these not just too cute!  I already had my pots in mind to make, but when I saw these I had to make them!  So after a quick trip to Target yesterday I was able to get all my supplies.

Happy Sunday and Happy St. Patrick's Day

Of course I feel like I am 'late' in posting this, but I just finished them this morning.  I would love to be one of those crafters that gets all their treats done before the holiday.  Nope, not me this time.  Teachers are getting theirs one day late.  Well...it's the thought that counts, right?  ;)

I used the Pot of Gold Treat Box from SVG cutting files.  The candies inside are rolos and I used the Jaded Blossom Lucky Treats for the stamp along with a 3/4 inch punch and a 1 inch scalloped punch.

Now time to just go deliver them all!  ;)

Now how cute is that Shamrock?  I think she just came out darling.  I wanted my shamrock to be the focal point of my card.  Her cuteness just had to stand out!  HA!

Exploring Cricut - Daily Post

Happy Wednesday!  Another Wednesday means my daily post for Exploring Cricut

Both of my kids had birthday parties this past weekend.  That means two cards to make!  WOO HOO!  I posted the one I made for my daughter's party (the mermaid bear).  This was was for my son's party.  I tried to get out a cartridge I had not used in a while along with the paper to match.  This is how this card was born.  I have had some of the DCWV boys paper pack for a while with only a few sheets left that just were dying to be used.  Space Paper means I had to find a space ship.  Hence Boys will be Boys.  Nice to use cartridges I have not used in a while.  Didn't go too crazy with this card because it is for a 3 year old boy, but it is on an action wobble!

Carts:  Wild Card and Boys will be boys
DCWV:  Boy stack
Doodeling and action wobble (you should see that space ship wiggle!  HA!)

Happy Birthday Bird

Happy Monday.  Hope everyone got some crafty time in this weekend.  I did and felt a little mojo coming back!  ;)

Today's card I was determined to use MTC.  SVG Cutting Files has the cutest files and I drool over them all the time, but I have just not gotten used to MTC software yet.  So I watched some videos on youtube and figured out how to finally create a shaped card. And everything lined up and cut nice.  I am finally starting to like my cameo! ;)  My daughter was so excited to bring this in to her student teacher today since her birthday was over the weekend.

I was going to do a 'pet' but I am constantly teasing one of my DT sisters about her use of Teddy Bear Parade.  I have not used it in a while and figured it was time....well my daughter did.  ;)  She has a birthday party to go to on Saturday.  What do 7 year old girls love? Mermaids of course.  So she decided this is what we needed to make.   So Michelle this one was for you!  LOL!

Today's card was for a friend at work who has been sick and I figured he needed a little pick me up.  Again, this was just a very simple card, but I thought she came out pretty cute.  She is even on an action wobble!

KISS - Keep It Simple Sistah - Card 1

Happy Monday - Hope you got some crafty time in this weekend.

I have been having a very hard time lately with sketches so I was surfing the web that would inspire me.  Now I have a 4 and 6 year old who every 5 minutes are calling Mommy for something that is the end of world to them, like they need more juice! ;)  Sometimes it is very hard for me to concentrate on something with multiple layers.  I found this (http://casethissketch.blogspot.com/2013/02/case-this-sketch-challenge-15.html) and made 4 cards out of it.  They all came together pretty quick and I was able to get a card in before I heard Mommy between each!  ;)  The next three will be posted over the next few days.  Hope you stop back by.

Again, these were very simple, but I loved the simplicity of them.  Hope you do too!  ;)

Daily Post Exploring Cricut

Happy Wednesday.  Time for another post for Exploring Cricut.   I have a very SIMPLE project today, but thought it could give someone a new idea.

Today I decided to do something different.  I have never played with welding bases together and wanted to and see if I could figure it out.

At my daughter's school one of the teachers needed various items for the prize box, including bookmarks.  As soon as I read that something clicked and I knew I could make some  These are done with her school colors, mascot, and letters of their school.  My daughter stole one as soon as she saw them.  Of course I let her have one, the one that I accidentally put the G on backwards!  ;)  Luckily she did not notice.

For you Pipsqueak!

Happy Tuesday!  Two posts in one week!  Is the earth shaking?  ;)   I was practicing this weekend with Make the Cut and my cameo.  I have seen so many cute SVGs out there lately that I just can't stand it.  I am determined to figure this combo out so I can cut these files.

I decided to start with this cutie!  Isn't she just precious?  It is the Pip Squeak Flower file from SVG Cutting Files.  My daughter had a student teacher start in her class yesterday so I wanted to make her a quick card to welcome her.  Took me a few cuts to get everything out, but I am starting to get the hang of this software.  Just guess I need more practice.  ;)

Baby it's cold outside Challenge

Happy Monday.    Today is a new challenge at Exploring Cricut.  Our challenge is called "Baby It's Cold Outside".  You are to create a card, layout, or papercraft with anything to do with snow or winter.  Just remember you must use a cricut machine and cricut die cuts for this challenge.  What reminds you of winter?  You can link your project by Saturday, January 19 at 10 pm eastern time.

It is hard to think of winter with the temps that have been here in the past few days, in the 50s and all the snow we had is snowing.  Big winter thaw going on here.  But I have a feeling the cold will be back soon.

I wanted to go with a cart I have not used in a while and I think I have only used Smily Cards once.  I rely so much on my books for the color layers that I have a problem if I don't have a booklet.  ;)  Luckily I found something on the web and was able to put my little snowman together pretty easy.

Supplies:
Carts:  Plantain Schoolbook, Smily Cards and Elegant Edges
Paper:  SU and Coredinations
Snowflake embossing folder
Happy Winter stamp:  My Pink Stamper
Ribbon, inking
