Exploring Cricut - 123 Challenge

Today at Exploring Cricut we are doing a 123 challenge. At least 1 ribbon, 2 cuts and 3 brads, buttons, etc.

I found out on Friday that a friend at work has breast cancer. So I definately wanted to make her a card to let her know I was thinking of her.

Today's card was slightly scraplifted. :) I was making cards last weekend and could not think of anything. So for inspiration I had gone to Emma's blog (mycreativetimeforme.com). I was determined to use the 100% sweetness stamp set. But in looking for inspiration I saw a card that Emma made around Christmas with this layout. So I decided to, ahem, scraplift the design and use it for Valentines Day. :)

I know a lot of people always say this, but the card does look better in person. I inked the whole card with pink and then outlined with red. In person, it looks more blended. In this picture the colors stand out more and look more blotchy.

Paper: Walmart card stock

Ink: Pink and Red (not sure of exact colors) from SU

Exploring Cricut - Daily Project

Today's card is my daily project for Exploring Cricut. I do not do many scene cards, but I wanted to try one for Valentine's day. As my peep always says, make an extra. :) So I have a few of these on hand to give out in a few weeks. ;)

J Card

Today's card was for the letter challenge to myself. I used the letter J and Just Because Cards. This was one of those had to have carts so I am glad to be getting a little bit of use out of it. :) Plus I am such a sucker for a good pun! Love them! :)

I card

Happy Wednesday.

I am still doing the challenge to myself to use all my carts. Haven't done it in a while so figured I would try and get going on doing this again.

Today's card is from Indy Art, one of the free downloads with the gypsy. I figured with the PK face, a bomb could not look too dangerous. :)

Exploring Cricut - Color challenge

Happy Monday.

Today's card was a color challenge card. We were to use red, blue, green, yellow and white. Now I dislike color challenges and tend not to do them. :) So I had a hard time with this one. But one of my favorite bloggers has done the white background before. After I decided on that the card came together quickly. I know think this is one of my favorite cards I have done. :)

My Craft Spot - It's Delicious

Happy Saturday. Today's card is for the challenge at My Craft Spot. We were to make something delicious. Well I love strawberries and I have not used perserves in a while, so it was a perfect combination.

Simply Crafts Challenge - Cupcake

Today's card is for the challenge at Simply Crafts. We were to use the cupcake with the heart on it from Sweet Treats. I made this card with no one in mind. After I made it I brought it to work to show my coworkers. Boss tell us it was her mother's 90th birthday so I had everyone sign it at work and had boss give it to her mother. Guess she got a big kick out of that! :)

Exploring Cricut - Daily Project

Happy Wednesday. Today is a card for my daily project at Exploring Cricut. I decided to make a snowmancard. I guess it just wishful thinking though. Being in CT we had one of the worst winters in a long time last year. I think in January alone we had over 50 inches of snow. So far this year, the only snow we had was in October. But I am not complaining, no shoveling! :)

First SVG

Happy Tuesday!

I have been busy crafting the past week, but have been very lazy about updating my blog. I may have to do a double post this week just to catch up.

This is my first SVG file with SCAL2. I bought this probably a year and a 1/2 ago and just could not get into it. I have been seeing a lot of cute SVG files out there lately so I dusted off SCAL and decided to try it again.

This is from the Valentine Bear Set from My Scrap Chick. Now since she is the first SVG I have cut in a while, I did not go crazy. This was just more practice. But I love how she came out.

See you back here tomorrow with my daily project for Exploring Cricut.

Exploring Cricut - Daily Project - Winter Frolic

Happy Tuesday. Is everyone excited about getting back to work and school today? I think I am. I do better when I have a 'schedule' to stick to.

Todays project is for Exploring Cricut. I owed Diane. :) I had missed two recent design team posts. I think the craziness of the holidays just got to me and I completely forgot! UGH! So since she decided to give me another chance and not kick me off the team, I told her I would take her spot in the daily challenge! :) Thanks Diane! :)

This card I just made for my stash, but I think I used the wrong stamp on it since I have not sent it out yet. Maybe I can send it out quick and have someone enjoy it! LOL!

Exploring Cricut - Winter Scene

Happy New Years to all. I think the holiday season just got the best of me and my blog suffered. But with the craziness of the holidays over I have a bunch of new cards designed on my gypsy waiting to be cut out. So I am back. :) Feels good to be crafty again.

Today's card is for Exploring Cricut. We needed to create a winter scene. With all the thank you cards I had to do, I figured the mailbox with a letter was perfect. Plus I got to use my Jolly Holidays cartridge that I just HAD to have. LOL!
