Exploring Cricut - No Business Like Show Business

Happy Monday.

Today's card was for Exploring Cricut. We were to create a card, layout or craft project that can be a movie night, concert, recital, plays or based on a movie or song. As usual I had a tough time and did not know what I was going to do until last minute. Diane does pretty good at challenging us! ;)

I made this card thinking maybe I could give it to my husband someday with tickets for a movie night. With a 5 and 3 year old it is hard to get out. ;)

Card is 5x7

Carts used: Plantin Schoolbook, Cuttin Up, Paperdolls
Inking, doodeling

100 Days of School

Happy 100 days of school. I have been seeing a lot of posts lately on different blogs about the 100 days. But due to the Tropical Storm in August and snow storm in October we are a little behind.

I have seen this idea with the gum and poem before, but just saw it on pinterest the other day and knew I had to make it, with my own twist. :) I did not see the excitement about pinterest at first, now I a loving it and have so many new ideas.

The sentiment is all computer generated and then cut out with my XL die from Emma. I had treat bags from Christmas. Think I could find them, of course not! :) So I just put the gum in sandwich bags. Tied a ribbon on. And used my teacher Dudley on the top as a tag to hide the zipper closure. :)

Valentines for Teachers

Happy Valentine's Day.

Here are the cards I made for my kids teachers. I can say I totally stole, er, scraplifted this sketch from a card my peep made me. She is amazing card maker and very patient with me with all my crafting questions. She has helped me extremely in growing my crafting skills.

Her, another peep and I have a long standing joke that if you don't use something for more than 6 months, the others get to confiscate that item! Well I have had my nesties and punch around the pages punches for a while and never use them! So I don't get them taken away, I figured it was time to use them! LOL!

More Valentine projects to come!

Exploring Cricut Daily Project

Happy Wednesday.

Today's project was for my peep. She has not been feeling well. I was going to go over and visit her and bring her some flowers. All of a sudden it hit me, I am a paper crafter, I can make her some flowers! :)

I used the cartridge Lacy Labels. Unfortunately when I had this brilliant idea, I did not have any pretty wooden dowels around the house. So quickily I needed another brilliant idea....straws! :) My kids have lots of straws. Actually I think it worked out better because I put them on the bendy ones and was able to move the flowers around as I wanted them.

I used the Cornies faces from PK. I did some inking and doodeling. I took the picture quick, as usual. :) So excuese all the wood in the background. I did not realize it was there when I took the picture. My husband has become a wood ho since the snow storm in October. :)

Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday.

Been a little lazy updating my blog lately. Beein crafting, just not updating! OOPS!

Today's card is just a simple card. I made this shape card for a birthday party that my daughter had to go to for a boy in her class. I asked her what she wanted to make and she picked this monster from the Mini Monsters cartridge. Since it was for a boy kindergartener I did not spruce it up too much. Just a little inking, doodeling and twine on the side. Inside, sorry forgot to take a picture of the inside, was a Happy Birthday stamp from Emma and my daughter signed it. Quick and simple! ;) Sorry the picture is bad too, took it as we were running out the door to the party.
