Exploring Cricut - Daily Project

Happy Wednesday!

Does anyone know where my mojo has gone and can you help me find it? :) With all the nice weather lately all I want to do is be outside. And in the morning I have been giving into a guilty pleasure, I have been watching reruns of Charmed! I need to get back on track. But until then I have a banner for you.

I made this banner for a birthday party my daughter went to. I am finding the kids are really enjoying the banners for their birthdays. Thanks for the idea Glora! ;)

Exploring Cricut Challenge

Today's post is for Exploring Cricut. This challenge is for all of us who will admit guilt or not of buying a cartridge either really cheap or thinking you were going to just dig into it and then leave it on the shelf.

My card is from Recess. I just had to have it for school stuff, but have not used it once yet. Guilty! :) I went pretty simple with this card using sketches I had seen on the blog hop last week for Emma's release of her new stamps. Can't wait to use those. Plus I made this card twice for my 2 boy cousins who are graduating from college. Of course they care more about what is inside than outside! LOL!

The scalloped circle and circle die and stamps are also from Emma, of course! :)

Happy Wednesday.

Today's card was for my boss's birthday. He is such a goof ball and just knew he had to have a goofy card. But I love puns and goofy stuff so that was not a problem! Hope you enjoy the card!

Acrylic Frames

Happy Monday and I hope everyone got in some crafting time. I did, but they were presents for my aunt and mother for Mother's Day. Now I need to make some more of these for myself!

Some friends and I went to the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Manchester, New Hampshire a few weeks ago. One of my friends and I took an acrylic class and learned how to work with alcohol inks. How fun are those things? They are not such a scary medium anymore. :)

I made two different frames with two different pictures. I know this is said a lot, but the pictures do not do this justice. This came out so purdy, if I do say so myself. :) I am so glad I took that class and learned how to work with the inks. I can definitely see me doing more of these.

I have posted pictures of each of the frames, one inside and one outside. The outside picture came out better, but you cannot really see the ink colors.

Acrylic Frame: 6 x 7.5 acrylic frame from Clear Scraps
Alcohol Inks: Eggplant and forgot the name of the green from Tim Holtz
Paper: Old pack of Deja Views I had
Flowers: New die from Emma
Leaves: Cricut cut, but cannot remember which cart right now. Sorry!

Slumber Party with Cameo

Happy Friday. Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there this weekend. Hope you can all get in a little 'you' time. I am hoping for some time in the craft room besides laundry, picking up toys and cleaning bathrooms. LOL!

Today's card I made a few months ago and thought I posted it, but was notified by one of my peeps I never did. OOPS! It is from the Lettering Delights Slumber party collection. This was the first cut I did with my Cameo (sorry Glora!) :) My DD was going to a slumber party themed birthday party so I just had to purchase this set and make her a card. The base of the card is from Wild Card.

There is still a little learning curve with Make the Cut but I am getting there. I am just very impressed with the Cameo on how small and intricate the cuts are. Her slippers are so small and the eyes are cut out perfect.

Paper: SU and DCWV stack
Twine
Button from stash (don't look too close that the middle of her jammies under the button is not straight)
Teeny Tag set from Emma
Princess Face from PK

Happy Tuesday and Happy Teacher Appreciation Day! I envy all of those bloggers out there that I follow that do all of their projects early. Of course as usual, I was finishing everything up last minute. I work better under pressure.

I found the water bottle idea on pinterest. The die is from My Creative Time with Emma and the sentiment is computer generated. I made these for all of my daughter's teachers and (luckily) my son's one teacher. :) I also made extras to put out on the food table at school. At my daughter's school we are providing lunch for the teachers all week.

The card is especially for my daughter's teacher. She is the absolute best! I actually used my Cameo for this cut. The cut is from Lettering Delights Toad-ally school. I am trying to practice with my Cameo so I don't lose it under the 6 month rule with my peeps! :) If you don't use it in 6 months, your peeps have free dibs on it. LOL!

Exploring Cricut - Mother's Day Cards

I'm back! Ever since the new Blogger I have not been able to get in, I kept getting a blank page. Finally switched from IE to Firefox and it works. Computers! :) So I will have a few back projects to posts.

Today's card was is for Exploring Cricut and we needed to make Mother's Day cards. Which is a good thing because between my husband and I, I have 5 to make. :)

Also I am going to enter this card into Simply Crafts Challenge Blog. We were to use the Sun cut from Create a Critter. It has been a while since I created a card for that challenge, so it felt good to be able to combine the two challenges.
