Exploring Cricut - Daily Project - Jolly Holidays
Happy Wednesday. Sorry my post is late today. Just got back from 5 days at Disney so I am a little behind on things.
Today's card I was determined to use Jolly Holidays again. I just HAD to have this cart so I am going to get my use out of it. But these cuts are so small! :)

Birthday - CAC
Today's post is a birthday card. I made this card for a friend's 4 year old dd. I put a action wobble on the head and she loved playing with it! :)
Of course after I made it, I realized it was backwards! UGH! But I don't think she really minded. LOL!

Exploring Cricut - Sled challenge
The challenge this time at Exploring Cricut was to use a sled. Now since I just HAD to have Jolly Holidays and have not used it yet, I wanted to use the Santa in the sled. I think next time I will make this a little bit larger. Little bit of a pain so small. But once I got it together, I think it came out pretty cute. :) Looks even cuter in person because Santa is on an action wobble. ;)

Exploring Cricut - Daily Project and H Cartridge
Happy Wednesday.
Today's post has a dual purpose. I needed to do my daily project for Exploring Cricut and I wanted to do my H cartridge challenge to myself. I made a simple shape card from Hello Kitty. Of course my dd wants these now for her friends so I need to get back into the craft room and make more. :)

Gift Card Holder
Today's post was a gift card holder that I made for my nephew. He is 13 and does not care about anything fancy, no ribbon, no bling, no nothing. Only about the gift card inside! ;) So this was very quick and easy to do! :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all get to enjoy time with special friends and family.
Today's project was made for DS and DD teachers as thanksgiving gifts. I used my new lollipop die from My Creative Time with Emma. Oh I am going to love this die. I can see myself using this a lot for quick little "thinking of you" type gifts.

Happy Wednesday.
Today's card is my daily project for Exploring Cricut. I decided to use Campin Critters. This is one of those carts I just had to have and had not used yet. So figured it was time.

Water!
Happy Friday. Looking forward to some crafting time this weekend. Hope everyone will also be able to get some time in. :)
Today's card I made for one of my special peeps. During winter storm Alfred, I got word that because of our well system we could not use our water due to potential bacterial. This was on Monday afternoon, 2 days after the storm. I did not think I would be able to find water anywhere! Less than an hour later my peep came over with 2 water jugs and some candy for the kids (since it was Halloween). I had felt such a rush of relief to get that water. :)
When I took the picture I did not realize it, but since I have seen the picture larger, just ignore the little darkness to the left of the water. It is a shadow from the ribbon! ;)

Pictures from Alfred
Just a few pictures from Alfred. I took these while driving around this weekend, a week after the storm. And the towns where these pictures were taken are not even some of the bad sections. The only good thing for us is we heat with wood. My DH went around for several days and was able to pick up wood on the side of the road. We are well on our way to having enough wood for next year.

Winter Storm Alfred
Hello All, just wanted you to know I have not forgotten about you. I was one of the very lucky 800,000+ in CT to loose power due to the winter storm that hit New England last weekend.
We had no power for 4 days. Luckily we had a generator and wood stove. The nights have been pretty cold and we kept the stove nice and full. Still had tvs and did not lose any food thanks to the generator. We are still without internet access (I am typing this from work...shhhhh!) and phone service, but since some people still have no power, I am not complaining!
There was so much devestation around. I am hoping to go around this weekend and take some pictures. It is just incredible to drive around and just see so many large trees broken like twigs.
Learned a few things during the storm
1. Thanks to my peep, I can cook grilled cheese and soup on the gas grill!
2. If you heat 2 large pots water on a wood stove, it should be enough for a quick bath.
3. So thankful that my DH put in a wood stove
4. So thankful that my DH has a generator
5. To check the kids lights during the day to make sure they are off! :)
6. You can put ground turkey and manwich sauce in the crock pot all day and it turns out pretty good.
I have gotten some projects ready to cut on my gypsy so hopefully I will be back very soon. Got to do a few things I could not do during the outage, like laundry. But honestly, which is more fun, crafting or laundry! :) LOL!

Exploring Cricut - Daily Project
Happy Hump Day!
Today is my DT project for Exploring Cricut. I really wanted to do something different for this card that I had never done before. I followed the petal card directions on splitcoast stampers (www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/petalcard ).
I will admit I have a hard time with figuring things out in paper crafting. :) What is right and left and top and bottom. I started following the 'word' directions and not the pictures. If I had followed the pictures I would not have had to do the card twice. :) But that is ok because I learned a lot about how to make this type of card.

Throwback Thursday Challenge
Good Tuesday all!
I made this card for an entry into Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge. You needed to use an older cartridge with a card feature. This was the 2nd card I made for the D challenge on the cricut boards. The card and spider and layers are from Doodlecharms. I have not used that cartridge in a while and forgot about a lot of the fun things on there. Sorry about the glare of the action wobble in the picture. You can't see it normally, but the glare from the camera definately caught it. Just pretend it is not there. LOL!

Mickey Gift Card holder
Happy Monday! Hope everyone got some crafty time in this weekend! ;)
My peep's birthday was last week. Due to the fact her and I were playing together down at Disney World, I was late with her card. :) I hope she was not too upset it was late. She is a Dunkin Donuts fan so I gave her a gift card for there along with an antenna topper that I got at the Contemporary hotel that says Peace Love Mickey which matched shirts she made for us. I went pretty basic because I just wanted to highlight Mickey and his colors.

School Bus
Good Morning all. I have been in the shaped card fling lately. :) So here is another one to share.
Last week was my daughter's first day of school. Due to a miscommunication she went home on the wrong bus. When her bus came to drop her off and she was not on I freaked a little. :) But called the school, figured ot where she was and got her home safe. The secretary was awesome so I wanted to apologize to her for the confusion. So hopefully she likes this card.

Second Card for A week Cricut Challenge
I ended up creating two cards for the cricut challenge. I am part of a challenge on the cricut boards to use our cricut cartridge more. Since this is A week and I have 4 a carts, figured I better make at least two cards.
Now this card was for my mother for Grandparents day. I asked my dd what she should make (she is 4 1/2). She said a pink cow! Well if we have previously made a princess alligator, figured a pink cow is not a big deal. How else do you get strawberry milk?! :)
I also used two stamps on her I have never used also. Did not have anything for grandparents day, so we went with a pun on I love you. So not only am I using carts I have not used in a while I am also pushing myself to use some stamps I just had to have and have sat in my drawer for a while! :)

Well on to some crafting. I have been working on a few projects over the past few days. I am going to start with the 3x3 cards I made. I made two for people at work and then ended up making 2 more for my mother and aunt for all they do for me. Very simple card. But I think they came out so cute!

Cricut Challenge A week
I needed to make a card for my niece. I probably would have gone to one of my regular carts. I joined a challenge on the cricut boards to use the carts we have. This is a great idea for me since I probably have close to 80! :) This being A week you need to use a cartridge starting with A that you have not used. I decided to use All Mixed up. This is really going to be a fun challenge.

PK LFIF - Back to School
This week at Peachy Keen, the Lets Face it Friday challenge was to create something back to school. Luckily, because of Tropical Storm Irene, I have been working on these longer than usual. School was supposed to start for DD (kindergarten) and DS (preschool) on August 29, but Irene had another thing to say about that! :) So school starts for my DD tomorrow and DS on Thursday since preschool got flooded. So because of the delay I get to enter these in the LFIF challenge.

Today is my aunt's birthday. I asked my daughter several times what kind of card we should make her for her birthday. She kept saying a Princess Alligator. She never strayed from that.
