Exploring Cricut - Daily Project - For Jeffrey

Happy Wednesday.

Today's card was probably the hardest card I ever had to make. I made this card for family members of a 6 year old boy who died in a freak accident in a wood chipper this past week. His father went to high school with my husband and his mother is my husband's 2nd cousin. I know this story made national headlines so some may have heard the story. Please, if you can, keep this family in your prayers because they so need all the support they can get right now.

Hey Chicka

Happy Thursday!

Today's card was inspired by one that Emma at My Creative Time with Emma had done a while back. I had bought the 4" faces from PK, but had just not gotten around to using them yet. Saw the chick she made and it gave me the perfect excuse to use them. ;)

Cards for Emily

Today's card is for a little girl by the name of Emily. She has been fighting leukemia since before December of 2011. She has had to endure more pain in one year then most adults in their entire life. She has gone from Leukemia to Rotavirus, to pancreatitis, to kidney stones then to shingles, not to mention over 300 pokes in her little tiny body. From chemo to blood draws to feeding tubes. She has definitely had her ups and her downs.

I am a fan of Dustin Pike. He is putting out a special set just for her. So of course I had to make a card for her. Sick children just break my heart. I am so blessed to have two healthy children.

I used the turtle from Create a Critter and made a shaped card. Finally got out my teeny tag greetings from Emma that I have had for a few weeks. Absolutely in love with that little set. It just adds so much.

Hello Kitty Banner

Happy Monday!

Today's project is being entered into the Wobble Wednesday's challenge. Make something with a wobble. That is not too hard for me! ;) Love those little things.

My daughter is being invited to so many birthday parties and it is getting expensive. So I decided I am going to start making banners for all the parties she goes too. Luckily this little girl loves Hello Kitty. So glad I had that cartridge!

More banners to come. She has two more parties to go to in two weeks. ;) My 5 year old has a busier social life than I do! LOL!

Carts: Hello kitty, Twinkle Toes, Cuttin Up and Mini Monograms

Paper: Recollections and stash

2 Action wobbles on both Hello Kitties.

Simply Crafts Challenge - Kite

Todays card was for the Simply Crafts Challenge. We were to use the Kite from Creat a Critter.

I loved all the happy, joyful cards everyone was doing and almost went in that direction. But then I found out the mother of a friend at work had died. I thought the kite was a nice symbol for flying up to heaven. And I was proud of myself of thinking out of the box! ;)

I also used my butterfly punch on the side. Have not used this punch in a while and did not want to lose it to one of my peeps. We have a rule that if you don't use it in 6 months you lose it to them! So at least that is one thing I get to keep! :)

Birthday Fishes

Happy Friday.

Hope everyone gets some crafting time in this weekend. I have at least two cards I need to make this weekend. One being the new challenge at Exploring Cricut. Be sure to come back on Monday for that.

Todays card is a quick one I did for my aunt and babysitter for their birthdays. Their birthdays are the same day, they don't know each other, so I guess it was ok to make them the same card, right? :)

Exploring Cricut - Daily Project

Happy Wednesday!

Today is my turn for the daily project at Exploring Cricut. As I said yesterday I made this for mybabysitter's son for his 2nd birthday.

My favorite blogger Glora makes banners all the time. My peep made my kids banners when we moved into our house. These two inspired me to make a banner for his birthday. Also, my daughter is in kindergarten and getting invited to many birthday parties and it is starting to get expensive. I have now come to the conclusion I will definately be making these for all the birthday parties she goes to. It was intimidating at first, but after doing this one and seeing how easy it was to do, it will make a perfect, unique gift. So you will be seeing more of these, especially since she has a birthday party to go to next week! LOL!
